The Price Chopper Inc. has agreed to pay a proposed class of department managers $6.5 million to end a suit that claims the supermarket chain misclassified them as exempt from overtime wages in an attempt to reduce its labor costs, according to a settlement proposal filed Monday in Massachusetts federal court.
