Judge Denies Hastert's Request For Post-Deal Reprimand
An Illinois federal judge on Tuesday turned down former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert's request that he reprimand a would-be whistleblower for allegedly intentionally misprinting Hastert's lawyer's name on dismissal papers filed in the Seventh Circuit, instead saying he would "cleanse the record appropriately" and let the appellate dismissal mandate end the case.
