Coca-Cola Co. has urged a California federal court to toss a class action over allegedly false claims that Coke has no artificial ingredients, saying the plaintiffs didn't rely on the list of ingredients to buy the soda.

Consumers accusing The Coca-Cola Co. in multidistrict litigation of falsely stating that Coke doesn't contain artificial ingredients told a California federal judge Friday that the company is wasting their time and money with a premature bid to throw out their state law claims.
