Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp. suffered a defeat Friday in its patent suit against generic-drug maker Zydus Noveltech Inc. over the Exelon dementia treatment patch, when a Delaware federal judge dismissed the case because it originated in New Jersey.

Novartis Hits Zydus With Patent Suit Over Dementia Patch
Novartis AG slapped Zydus Pharmaceuticals (USA) Inc. with patent infringement suits in Delaware and New Jersey federal courts on Wednesday, claiming Zydus' proposed generic version of the Exelon patch, which is used to treat Alzheimer's disease and dementia, infringes on Novartis' patents.
