AT&T and Cox have reached a settlement in an infringement suit claiming Cox and its regional entities stepped on a number of patents pertaining to cable set-top boxes, modems and phone technologies, according to documents filed in Delaware federal court Tuesday.

A Delaware federal judge last week slammed Cox Communications Inc.'s bid to transfer a patent lawsuit from AT&T Inc.'s intellectual property arms, finding that Cox played it "fast and loose" with where its regional entities called home.
