    11th Circ. Upholds FTC's Pipe-Fitting Monopoly Ruling

    The Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday affirmed a Federal Trade Commission decision that McWane Inc. unlawfully maintained monopoly power through a rebate program for U.S.-made iron pipe fittings, used in some municipal projects, that stymied a competitor's efforts, ruling the commission's findings were backed up by ample evidence.

    AGs Back Ruling McWane Squeezed Out Pipe Fitting Rivals

    Prosecutors from 12 states are urging the Eleventh Circuit to uphold a ruling that a McWane Inc. rebate program restrained competition in the pipe fittings industry by locking competitors out of the market, thereby squeezing government contractors, New York's attorney general said Monday.
