Education Management Pays $2.5M To End Investor Suit
Education Management Corp. has agreed to pay $2.5 million to resolve investor claims that the for-profit college operator concealed deceptive lending and recruiting practices that forced many students into default and led to a string of investigations, according to a Thursday filing in Pennsylvania federal court.

Struggling for-profit college company Education Management Corp. was hit with a putative class action in Pennsylvania federal court Friday by an investor who alleges the company concealed deceptive lending and recruiting practices that forced many students into massive debt and led to a string of federal and state investigations.
