The U.S. Department of the Interior on Thursday urged a Louisiana federal judge to grant summary judgment in its battle with oil and gas company Tengasco Inc. over its alleged failure to provide safety records following a platform inspection, arguing the company has no credible evidence supporting its claims.

Oil and gas company Tengasco Inc. has sued the U.S. Department of the Interior, saying the agency unfairly upheld a $386,000 fine imposed after the company failed to turn over certain safety records following a 2011 platform inspection.
