A Pennsylvania federal court on Monday denied Starbucks Corp.'s bid to dismiss an Americans with Disabilities Act class action alleging its parking spaces are too steep for those in wheelchairs, finding that Starbucks is an appropriate defendant despite arguments that landlords at its locations in question are responsible.

Starbucks Corp. on Tuesday asked a Pennsylvania federal judge to toss a putative class action alleging it violated federal law by failing to make its facilities fully accessible to disabled individuals, saying it is not responsible for the outdoor areas where the violations are said to exist.
