Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. on Monday asked the full Sixth Circuit to overturn a panel's finding that it doesn't have immunity from allegations that it failed to protect workers during a coal ash spill cleanup, arguing the decision will interfere with the government's ability to delegate effectively.

The Sixth Circuit revived a lawsuit against an engineering firm tasked with cleaning up a coal ash spill in Tennessee, saying Tuesday that as a government contractor, the company wasn't necessarily immune from allegations it failed to protect its workers from the cleanup's health effects.
