Takeda IP Suit Over Hikma Gout Flare Drug Is Reopened
A Delaware federal judge has reopened Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA Inc.'s suit accusing West-Ward Pharmaceutical Corp. and parent Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC of infringing five patents through competing gout flare drug Mitigare, ruling Wednesday that a second amended complaint contains sufficiently detailed allegations.

Takeda's Suit Targeting Rival Gout Drug Is Dismissed
A Delaware federal judge on Wednesday tossed Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA Inc.'s suit accusing West-Ward Pharmaceutical Corp. and parent Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC of infringing its patents through the competing gout drug Mitigare, saying the rival's label doesn't directly address Takeda's patented methods.
