A Florida federal judge on Monday tossed the bulk of Developmental Technologies LLC's claims against DuPont Co. and Valmont Industries Inc. over trade secrets they allegedly used to create a joint plant irrigation system, ruling that they are preempted by the Florida Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
