Securitas Security Services USA Inc. on Friday dropped a $5.1 million federal suit over a canceled Lockheed Martin Corp. subcontract involving bomb-sniffing dogs in favor of a New Jersey state court suit against a Lockheed subsidiary after the defense giant argued both parties are Delaware companies.

Lockheed Martin Corp. has been hit with a $5.1 million breach of contract suit in New Jersey federal court by a subcontractor that allegedly racked up expenses preparing to fill a Lockheed order for bomb-sniffing dogs that was subsequently canceled.
