A Hispanic female former director for Major League Baseball has agreed to drop her suit accusing the league of gender and national origin discrimination after repeatedly passing her over for promotions to an executive position, according to a stipulated dismissal filed Wednesday in New York federal court.

A Hispanic female Major League Baseball executive sued the league and others Thursday in New York federal court, claiming a Hall of Famer vice president who stalled her career said he prefers hiring men "because there are places women can't go," and subjected her to a drug test for speaking out.
