Pet Insurer To Pay $5.5M To Settle TCPA Class Action
A pet health insurance company agreed to pay $5.5 million to end putative class claims that it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by robocalling more than 700,000 people, according to a Wednesday motion for preliminary approval of the deal.

Citing Spokeo, Judge Blocks TCPA Class Against Pet Insurer
An Illinois federal judge refused Wednesday to certify a class in a Telephone Consumer Protection Act suit over a pet health insurance company's alleged robocalls, saying evidence that some individuals consented to the calls prevents them from claiming injury under the U.S. Supreme Court's Spokeo decision.
