A lawsuit accusing pharmacy benefits manager Express Scripts Inc. of using a False Claims Act settlement as a pretense to kick a competitor out of its network has been voluntarily dropped by the rival pharmacy, according to an order signed by a Missouri federal judge Wednesday.

Specialty pharmacy CareMed Pharmaceutical Services on Wednesday sued Express Scripts Inc. in Missouri federal court for allegedly taking advantage of a recent False Claims Act settlement in order to terminate CareMed's contract and monopolize a local pharmacy market.
