United Airlines Beats Class Action Over Low Fare Promise
A Texas federal judge on Thursday tossed a putative class action accusing United Airlines Inc. of violating terms of its online "low fare guarantee" for passengers buying multiple tickets at the same time, ruling that the plaintiff never even tried to call the company to make a claim.

United Airlines Inc. was hit with a putative class action in Texas federal court Wednesday, alleging it routinely violates its website's "low fare guarantee" when passengers buy multiple tickets on a flight at the same time, often charging more than if the tickets were purchased separately.
