The Department of Defense has fired back against Sigmatech Inc. in a suit over the termination of the defense contractor's blanket purchase agreement with the U.S. Army, telling an Alabama federal judge that Sigmatech no longer qualified for the agreement after it "graduated" from a small to a large business.

Sigmatech Slams DOD For Terminating Missile Contract
Sigmatech Inc. asked a federal court on Thursday to hold the U.S. Department of Defense responsible for the U.S. Army's Aviation and Missile Command division's alleged improper termination of a blanket purchase agreement with the company after it outgrew its classification as a small business, and to bar the termination from going into effect.
