Samsung Gets PTAB To Eye Smartflash Patents Under Alice
The Patent Trial and Appeal Board has agreed to review four patents that Smartflash LLC has asserted against Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., including ones that Apple has been ordered to pay $533 million for infringing, finding that the patents likely fail the U.S. Supreme Court's Alice test.

Emboldened By $533M IP Win, Smartflash Hits Apple Again
Smartflash LLC filed suit in Texas federal court on Wednesday, once again alleging infringement of three patents that recently won them a $533M victory against Apple Inc., this time on newer products, and adding four additional patents related to the Apple Store Kit.
