Volkswagen Group of America Inc. urged a California federal judge Thursday to toss a proposed nationwide consumer class action claiming the carmaker illegally failed to disclose shoddy brakes on its Routan vans, arguing it wasn't required to disclose anything to buyers because the brakes weren't dangerous.
