Alibaba told a New York federal judge Tuesday that two cases cited by shareholders in consolidated suits alleging the company made misstatements in the lead-up to its $25 billion initial public offering don't support the plaintiffs' claims and instead advance the company's dismissal bid.

A New York federal judge on Friday consolidated four putative securities class actions alleging Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. misled investors and made false public statements in the runup to its $25 billion initial public offering last September, appointing The Rosen Law Firm PA as lead plaintiffs counsel.
