Adaptix Inc. asked a California federal court Wednesday to undo the dismissal of several of its lawsuits accusing companies including Amazon.com Inc., Sony Corp. and Verizon Wireless of infringing patents covering LTE cellular technology, saying a Federal Circuit ruling just days after the dismissals supersedes the court's reasoning.

A California federal judge on Friday tossed nine similar suits filed by Adaptix Inc. accusing major companies including Apple Inc., Amazon.com Inc. and Sony Corp. of infringing patents covering LTE technology, ruling the claims are duplicative of those in pending or concluded cases.

Sony Mobile Communications Inc., Amazon.com Inc. and AT&T Mobility LLC urged a California federal judge to throw out four of Adaptix Inc.'s cases accusing them of infringing patents on LTE technology, arguing that Adaptix's latest suits improperly bring claims that have already been decided.
