A patent suit against Fiat Chrysler was voluntarily dismissed in Connecticut federal court Wednesday by auto parts maker Jacobs Vehicle Systems Inc., two months after it terminated a related U.S. International Trade Commission investigation.

Auto parts maker Jacobs Vehicle Systems Inc. on Wednesday urged the U.S. International Trade Commission to open an unfair trade practices investigation into several foreign affiliates of Chrysler Group LLC, alleging infringement of a number of patents relating to variable valve actuation devices.
