A California magistrate judge on Tuesday dismissed a case in which a proposed class of drivers for Lyft Inc. claimed the ride-hailing company stiffed them on $1,000 bonuses, granting the company's motion to compel arbitration.

Lyft Inc. is facing a proposed California federal class action alleging the ride-hailing company breached contracts with its employees by reneging on $1,000 bonuses promised through new-driver programs that drew "a huge wave of applicants," a plaintiffs' attorney said Friday.
