A California federal judge Thursday signed off on a $9.75 million fee request from lawyers who secured a settlement valued at $3.4 billion from Toyota Motor Co. to resolve claims of rust-prone truck frames, saying everything "looks good" with the settlement and fee request.

Toyota To Pay $3.4B To Settle Rusty Truck Frame Action
Toyota Motor Co. on Wednesday agreed to pay approximately $3.4 billion to compensate owners of certain truck models with frames that are prone to rust corrosion and perforation in order to settle a proposed class action lawsuit in California federal court.
