A Hess Corp. Virgin Islands subsidiary and the islands' Bureau of Internal Revenue have reached an agreement to dismiss the company's lawsuit over $12 billion in disputed tax deductions, according to a court document filed by the company Friday.

A Hess Corp. Virgin Islands subsidiary on Monday asked a federal court to throw out an adjustment to a partnership tax return that disallowed $12 billion in deductions, saying the statute of limitations on the adjustment had expired.
