General Motors LLC has been dismissed from a seven-defendant suit claiming it and other manufacturers infringed a patent on dashboard phone systems, a Texas judge ordered Wednesday.

Ford Motor Co., General Motors LLC, Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. and four other automakers were slapped Wednesday with suits in Texas federal court, accusing the manufacturers of ripping off a patent for a dashboard telephone system that allows drivers to access calls through their infotainment system.
