An Indiana federal judge on Friday tossed a putative class action filed against the federal government by a permanent resident who alleged the U.S. Department of Homeland Security violated federal laws by not providing him with copies of various documents related to a denied naturalization application in a timely manner.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security was slapped with a class action in Indiana federal court Tuesday alleging it has improperly failed to fulfill a lawful permanent resident's Freedom of Information Act request for a copy of the document used to deny his application for naturalization.
