Court Orders Document Production In Pharmacy Price Row
An Illinois federal judge on Monday ordered pharmacy chain Supervalu to produce documents it had been withholding in the discovery phase of the False Claims Act case against it brought by whistleblowers who said the company had misrepresented prices in order to receive higher reimbursement payments from the federal government.

SuperValu Can't Shed FCA Suit Over Pharmacy Prices
An Illinois federal judge on Friday kept alive a False Claims Act suit accusing SuperValu pharmacies of charging the government more than the general public, finding that lower drug prices could be "usual and customary" regardless of how often they were actually paid.

Two pharmacists suing SuperValu Inc. in Illinois federal court for allegedly running a nationwide scheme to charge government health care programs more than the general public for prescription drugs on Tuesday said their suit shouldn't be dismissed, as they made sufficient arguments under the False Claims Act.
