Spanish media giant Imagina Group came out swinging on Friday against a report that a Miami-based subsidiary was one of the unnamed marketing companies implicated in the corruption cases against FIFA officials, alleging that the rumor could have been started by a competitor and threatening possible legal action.

Burck, as the beleaguered international soccer governing body deals with U.S. prosecutors' wide-ranging racketeering case accusing numerous FIFA executives of taking more than $150 million in bribes, a source close to the matter confirmed on Friday.
