The Brooklyn-based importers of Kahfua — a new coffee liqueur that Pernod Ricard unit Absolut Co. claims bears too much of a resemblance to its popular coffee liqueur, Kahlua — agreed on Tuesday to temporarily stop using the alleged knockoff label.

Pernod Ricard unit Absolut Co. asked a New York federal court Thursday to shut down a brazen knockoff of its Kahlua brand of coffee liqueur, which the spirits giant discovered when the alleged counterfeiters sought federal approval for their liquor label.
