Hostesses Cut From Houlihan's Tip Pooling Suit
The operator of several Houlihan's restaurants in New Jersey won a partial victory Wednesday in its bid to toss a collective action alleging that hostesses and food expediters receive tips illegally when a federal judge ordered the suing employees to drop hostesses from the complaint, but to keep the expediters.

The owner of a number of Houlihan's restaurant locations in New Jersey has been hit with a putative class action in state district court alleging the restaurant's servers have been cheated out of fair wages by an illegal tip-pooling policy.
