Blue Spike LLC has settled a lawsuit accusing Audible Magic Corp. of infringing its digital fingerprinting patents, agreeing that the patents were not infringed and that it won't sue Audible Magic again, according to documents filed in Texas federal court.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is urging a Texas federal judge to sanction Blue Spike LLC and its counsel Garteiser Honea PC for opposing its motions to intervene and unseal documents in Blue Spike's suit accusing Audible Magic Corp. of infringing its digital fingerprinting patents.

A judge in the Eastern District of Texas ordered numerous documents unsealed in Blue Spike LLC's patent lawsuit against Audible Magic Corp. on Tuesday, pulling back the curtain on a case the Electronic Frontier Foundation said was "shrouded in secrecy."

The Electronic Frontier Foundation has asked a Texas federal court to let it intervene in Blue Spike LLC's lawsuit accusing Audible Magic Corp. of infringing its digital fingerprinting patents and urged the court to unseal most of the case documents, saying Wednesday the case is shrouded in "excessive secrecy."
