A California federal judge on Monday refused to toss a proposed class action against FCA US LLC by Jeep drivers claiming the automaker hid widespread transmission problems and ordered the case transferred to New Jersey, where a similar class action has been proposed.

The Chrysler Group LLC, now known as FCA US LLC, is facing a proposed class action accusing the company of hiding widespread transmission problems with the 2014 model year Jeep Cherokee, according to an amended complaint filed Thursday in New Jersey federal court.
