The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission hit package delivery giant United Parcel Service Inc. with a New York federal lawsuit Wednesday after conciliation talks fell through, claiming the company discriminated against a class of applicants and employees whose religion conflicted with its uniform and appearance policy.
