A Texas federal judge on Friday declined to stay arbitration between a wind energy company and a water and power utility that are embroiled in a contract dispute while the company appeals his arbitration order to the Fifth Circuit.

Attorneys from Jackson Walker LLP who are representing a utility in a contract dispute with a wind farm operator on Wednesday asked a Texas federal court to deny Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp.'s bid to boot the firm from the case, saying its previous representation of the Japanese banking giant doesn't pose a conflict of interest.
