A Florida federal judge on Monday handed a win to the trustee of a bankrupt sports managing company in his $3 million suit over prebankruptcy transfers of Major League Baseball players' contracts, saying the founder could not force claims to arbitration because the trustee was standing in for creditors who never agreed to an arbitration pact.
