Rawlings Sporting Goods told a Missouri federal court in a breach of contract suit over an agreement to produce and market light-up baseball catcher leg guards that the leg guard developer's requests for electronic discovery go too far, arguing that the dispute is a straightforward contract issue.

A company that developed a light-up leg guard prototype for baseball catchers filed a suit against Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. Inc. in Missouri federal court on Monday, claiming Rawlings promised to produce and market the product but never followed through.
