An Illinois federal judge overseeing a trade secrets suit against the former president of Ritchie Capital Management LLC has thrown out a counterclaim that the one-time executive was unlawfully denied benefits while giving the green light to an accusation that the company, which provides investment advice to hedge funds, owes him back wages.
