Stokely-Van Camp Inc., the owner of trademarks for Gatorade sports drinks, has voluntarily dismissed its suit in Illinois federal court accusing the makers of bodybuilding supplement “Haterade” of infringing SVC's marks and harmfully associating the drink with the derogatory term “hater.”

Gatorade Owner No Fan Of 'Haterade,' Sues Creator Over TM
Stokely-Van Camp Inc., the owner of trademarks for Gatorade sports drinks, on Thursday filed suit in Illinois federal court against the makers of bodybuilding supplement "Haterade," accusing them of infringing Stokely-Van's marks and harmfully associating Gatorade with the "colloquial, derogatory term 'hater.'"
