Solar panel installer SolarCity Corp. has settled its suit alleging a subcontractor it had hired to install solar panels in 2014 had misappropriated $16 million and hid a history of fraud, according to papers filed in Massachusetts federal court Friday.

A SolarCity Corp. contractor allegedly covered up a history of fraud before agreeing to and then abandoning a $45 million contract to help build solar power systems in Massachusetts, SolarCity alleged in federal court Monday.
