Uber Reaches Settlement With Similarly Named Fla. Co.
Uber Technologies Inc. has reached a settlement with a similarly named Florida company that had won a ruling earlier this year partially and temporarily barring the ride-hailing giant from using its "Uber" trademark in the Gainesville market, according to a joint filing by the parties.

Uber Blocked From Using TM For UberEvents In Fla. City
A Florida federal judge on Tuesday temporarily blocked Uber Technologies Inc. from using its "Uber" trademark to promote its new UberEvents service in a Florida city, saying consumers might confuse it with a similarly named local company that offers limo services.
