HVAC Contractor Fights $1.9M PetSmart Attys' Fee Bid
An HVAC contractor that lost a contract termination lawsuit it lodged against PetSmart Inc. urged an Arizona federal judge on Monday to refuse the pet supply retailer's approximately $1.9 million bid for attorneys' fees and costs, saying the proposed award should be reduced by 30 percent because it's unreasonable.

PetSmart Inc. is seeking $1.875 million in attorneys' fees and nontaxable costs stemming from a $21 million lawsuit brought against the company by an HVAC contractor over a terminated services agreement, telling an Arizona federal court on Monday that the contract allows for fees to be awarded to the prevailing party.
