Fitness club chain Curves International Inc. urged a Texas federal judge Wednesday to throw out a $1.5 million jury verdict for 52 franchisees in a lawsuit over the company's alleged failure to provide sufficient advertising support, saying the jury's ruling is not backed up by evidence.
