A Texas federal judge honored a request on Tuesday to dismiss with prejudice a proposed class action brought by a man who claimed credit reporting agencies Experian Information Solutions and TransUnion LLC violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by wrongly listing his child support payments as late though they were filed on time.

Consumer reporting agencies Experian and TransUnion were hit with a proposed class action on Monday in Texas federal court by a man who claims the pair violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by wrongly listing several child support payments as delinquent despite evidence they were paid on time.
