A New York federal judge on Tuesday gutted a pair of related proposed wage-and-hour class actions against Uber Technologies Inc. that accused the ride-hailng company of misclassifying drivers as independent contractors and withholding their tips, forcing the named plaintiffs to arbitrate their claims individually.
