Lowe's Settles Security Camera Patent Suit
Lowe's Cos. Inc. has settled a lawsuit brought by a company that claimed the home improvement retailer sold security cameras that infringed two of its patents, a deal that came on the heels of a New York federal judge saying one patent appeared to meet a U.S. Supreme Court test for validity.

A New York federal judge has rejected Lowe's Cos. Inc.'s bid to dismiss a suit claiming it sells home security cameras that infringe a patent for recording and indexing images, saying under the U.S. Supreme Court's Alice decision she wasn't ready to declare the patent invalid.
