DOJ Ends Newark Airport Suit After United Scraps Slot Lease
United has scrapped its plan to take over some of Delta's takeoff and landing slots at Newark Liberty International Airport, according to the U.S. Justice Department, which told a federal judge Wednesday that it was dropping an antitrust lawsuit that sought to stop the deal.

DOJ Sues United, Delta To Ground Newark Airport Slot Deal
The U.S. Department of Justice launched a suit in New Jersey federal court Tuesday to block United Airlines from acquiring 24 takeoff and landing slots at Newark Liberty International Airport from Delta Airlines, saying United is restricting competition because it already holds far too many slots.
