Flotek Dodges Stock-Drop Suit Over Flawed Marketing App
A Texas federal judge threw out an investor suit against Flotek Industries Inc., finding Thursday that statements about the accuracy of an app the company used to promote its drilling fluids supported only a "slight inference" of corporate wrongdoing after problems with the app were revealed.

Flotek Shareholder Sues Over Fracking-Analysis App
Extraction-industry supplier Flotek was sued Thursday by a putative class of shareholders who tell a Texas federal court that its proprietary mobile app was misleadingly puffed up by the company, resulting in a stock drop when the dismal truth about its data and usability emerged.
