Anti-Gay Bias Not Prohibited Under Title VII: 11th Circ.
The majority of a split Eleventh Circuit panel on Friday largely affirmed a district court’s dismissal of a former Georgia Regional Hospital security guard’s suit against the hospital alleging she was harassed because she’s a lesbian and didn’t conform to gender norms, relying on a decades-old decision that discharge for homosexuality isn’t prohibited under Title VII.
